It’s that time of year again! August 11, 2015, the Alton R-IV Public Schools will once again hold it’s annual “Open House”, beginning at 6pm and lasting until 7:30pm. However, starting at 5:30pm in the elementary multi-purpose building the Alton R-IV Public Schools Foundation will be serving a drink, a hot dog, and chips for a $2 donation, with donations going towards funding future scholarships and special projects. The Spring Dipper will also be there serving ice cream.
This will also be the last chance to purchase raffle tickets for the handmade cedar “Welcome” sign, produced and donated by Vince and Denise Woods of “Benches and More“. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5, and can be purchased at the Alton Florist through Monday or from any Alton R-IV Public School Foundation member during the Open House, and the drawing for the sign will take place at the end of the Open House. All proceeds go towards APSF special projects and scholarships.
