For those students graduating in 2014, scholarship applications must be turned into Mrs. Gilliland’s office by Tuesday, March 25. Below is a partial list of scholarships available:

- The Justin Crews Memorial Scholarship was formed by family and friends, with the first scholarships of $500 being given in May 2008. It is now endowed, assuring the $500 scholarship will be available in perpetuity.

- The Larry Wallace Memorial Scholarship was endowed by his wife, Mildred Owens Wallace, in honor of her husband who founded an operated the Wallace-Owens grocery stores in Alton, Thayer, and six other locations in MO and AR. The $500 scholarship was first awarded in 2009, and will be available in perpetuity.

- The J.Q. & Nancy Clary Scholarship was established by John Clary to honor his parents, who founded the first mortuary in Alton in 1948. The Clary family continues to operate funeral homes in Alton, Thayer, and Mammoth Springs. 2009 marked the first year for the $500 scholarship.

- The Wendell P. and Rebecca Williams Family Scholarship, established by the Williams family to go to a student pursuing a degree in education or in a medical field.

- The Luie and Anna Roberts Scholarship was endowed in 2011. It provides a $500 scholarship to a student planning to attend a Public College or University. Luie graduated in 1956 from AHS, and Anna was a graduate of Thomasville in 1957.
