The winners of the beautiful handmade cedar bench donated by Vince & Denise Woods, owners of “Benches and More“, were Doug and Alice Robison of Rover. One hundred raffle tickets were sold for $10 each with the $1000 earned by the bench to be used for two $500 scholarships to be given out this spring to two Alton Senior’s headed for college.
The Woods family has paid it forward, as in the past both of their girls received scholarships through the Foundation. This was the second year they have graciously made this donation, and the Alton R-IV Public School Foundation would like to send out a heartfelt “Thank You” to the Woods family as well as those who purchased raffle tickets.
